Test Lab
M Seals has test laboratories in Denmark and the UK, offering a wide range of testing services to our customers. We can simulate your sealing application's environment and conditions so that you can be confident that a correct material and design is chosen and our sealing solution will have a long service lifetime.
Advanced Test Equipment
We have a range of advanced equipment for testing all parameters that are important for the function of our rubber and PTFE parts, such as hardness, specific gravity and compression set.
To ensure that the rubber compounds consistently meet specification requirements, sampling is made and tested using our Netzsch TGA machine or PerkinElmer FT-IR Spectrophotometer.
For dimensional checking, we have a Micro-Vu high precision 3-D measuring machine using non-contact technique, which is superior for measuring softer materials. Often, we agree special inspection schemes, incoming or outgoing, with our customers.
Our laboratory in Denmark is equipped to carry out different tests for our customers, like volume swell in different liquids. M Seals has been working in accordance with ISO9000 quality management systems since 1996, currently being certified to ISO 9001:2015.
At our Engineered Seals Division, located in Sheffield, we have the following testing equipment :
- Zwick Roell Z005 (Tensile & elongation testing apparatus)
- Wallace Densimeter
- Zwick Roell HPE (Shore A&D Hardness testing apparatus)
- Schmidt press for cutting ISO / ASTM test samples
- Bespoke fluid immersion vessel with temperature data logger
- Keyence IM-6500 digital contactless measuring device
