IIR - Butyl
Butyl rubber (IIR) has outstanding resistance to attack by oxygen and ozone, and good chemical resistance to many organic and inorganic media. IIR has exceptional low gas permeability which makes it ideal for inner tubes and high pressure applications.
IIR elastomers are sometimes halogenated with chlorine CIIR or bromine BIIR to improve their resistance to certain chemicals.
IIR working temperature range is between -50°C and +120°C.
