High‑Temperature Performance
Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause many elastomers to become hard and brittle. Kalrez® parts retain excellent elasticity and recovery properties even after long‑term exposure to temperatures up to 327 °C (620 °F), making them ideal for high‑temperature sealing applications.
A Reliable Alternative to Metal Seals
Metal seals require extremely precise machining and are often difficult to install and replace. Kalrez® seals conform easily to irregular metal surfaces, providing more forgiving, reliable sealing performance while remaining easy to install, remove, and maintain.
Outperforming PTFE in Dynamic Applications
Kalrez® parts are the only elastomer seals that match PTFE for chemical resistance while also delivering the elasticity and recovery of rubber—critical for many static and dynamic sealing applications.
