    What is a bonded seal?

    A bonded seal consists of:

    • A metal washer (typically carbon steel or stainless steel)
    • A rubber sealing ring bonded to the inside diameter

    When compressed between two flat mating surfaces, the elastomer creates a tight, leak free seal while the metal ring controls compression and prevents over tightening.

    Bonded seals are widely used wherever reliable, reusable and pressure resistant sealing is required.
